Please Consider Donating to the Club

Welcome to our online donation portal. Please note that SLNC is not a registered charity (we are a BC not-for-profit society), but tax receipts can be issued for two key initiatives through partner charities, the Jess4Kids Scholarship Fund and the Lodge Legacy Project.

JESS4KIDS SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Jess4Kids Scholarship Fund helps children and youth who would not otherwise be able to afford cross-country skiing or snowshoeing opportunities at Sovereign Lake Nordic Club. Jess4Kids donations are enabled by the Community Foundation of North Okanagan (CFNO) who then pass the funds to us and issue the tax receipt. Donors can now go on and make an online donation through the CFNO website – through the Donate Now button. The Jess4kids Scholarship Fund is now an option on the drop-down list – Jess4kids Scholarship Fund

LODGE LEGACY PROJECT

Nordiq Canada is accepting donations on our behalf and issuing tax receipts. Our public campaign launched on October 24, 2024 and you can donate by clicking on the button below. Note that you can make either a single gift or set up an on-going monthly donation. Also, if you wish to spread your contributions out for tax reasons, you are invited to make an initial gift this year and additional donations over the next two years.

Read more about the Lodge Legacy Project including other ways to donate such as in-kind donations and gifts of stocks and bonds. View a PDF of the presentation made at the Lodge Legacy Project fundraising launch on October 24, 2024.

Thinking of Donating Securities?

To qualify for a 2024 tax receipt, securities donations should be donated by this Friday, December 13. This helps ensure there’s enough time for the stock transfer to occur before year end (from CanadaHelps). Details on how to donate securities here.
