FREE Snowshoe Day for Members
- This event has passed.
Did you know that your season’s pass gives you free use of SLNC’s fabulous snowshoe trails? If you haven’t tried our trails yet, now is the time! The SLNC Fun Committee has planned a snowshoeing afternoon for members on Sunday, January 29th, from 1 – 4:30 PM. It is forecasted to be a chilly day and so bundle up and come enjoy.
Snowshoe rentals will be FREE for club members (pass holders) on Sunday afternoon. You can sign out a set of snowshoes and explore the trails on your own, or join a group for a guided experience and a chance to meet new friends. If you have non-members with you, they need to pay for a snowshoe trail ticket and rentals. Please note, SLNC’s trails are for people only. Please leave your dogs at home. All snowshoes must be returned prior to closing at 5 pm.

Groups will depart from the lodge at 1:30 PM, with excursions ranging from 1 hour to 2.5 hours in length. If you want to join a group, please arrive by 1 PM so you have time to get snowshoes and connect with your group leader.
The trails are well-marked, and printed maps are available at the lodge or you can download them on Avenza. You can also use an app, Trailforks, that shows you exactly where you are on the trails. (Install Trailforks, download Maps for the BC region, and select Snowshoeing as the activity. Press the compass symbol near the top right of the screen. If your GPS is turned on, it will zero on in your location and a blue dot will show where you are, and what direction you are facing).
