WELCOME TO OUR MASTERS BIATHLON PROGRAM FOR THE 2024-25 SEASON!
The Master’s Biathlon Program offers two comprehensive programming options for new shooters through to experienced race competitors. The focus is on technical target shooting development, as well as ski transition in and out of the range.
Option 1) Masters Biathlon Race program
Training is done on a weekly basis, sharing the range with our youth programming.
Sessions: Wednesday 5 pm – 7 pm, and Saturday 2 pm – 4 pm.
Dates: Oct 1 2024- March, 2025 *coinciding with Biathlon National Championships*
Race participation is strongly encouraged. We encourage you to participate in regional fun races, BC cups, and potentially Canadian national championships. If you are not interested in racing, option 2 will be a better fit.
*Participants are encouraged to have their own rifle. Rifle rentals are available, but rifles must stay at the club. They are utilised primarily for youth programming*
Program Cost: $400 per person
Additional Costs: Rifle Rental / Ammo Purchase Available. Participants must be current 2024/2025 Biathlon Canada / Biathlon BC members for liability reasons.2024/2025 Biathlon Canada Individual Membership. Masters XC or Masters Training Registration. 24/25 SLNC Season Pass.
No formal programming: December 23 – January 5th for Christmas Break.
Option 2) Biathlon Demo Days
Demo Days are an opportunity to join in on the biathlon fun without any major schedule or race commitment!
Sovereign Masters Biathlon promotes the joy of skiing, shooting, building friendships, and adding to one’s biathlon skills in a fun social group setting while working hard. This program aims to provide a space for quality learning and technical skill development. This Program is open to anyone 19 years of age.
Schedule: Five Saturdays throughout the fall & winter (once a month) from 12 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. starting in November.

Program Cost: The cost for each demo day is $50. This covers rifle use, consumable products (ammunition, paper, paint), and coaching.
Additional costs: In addition to the program fee, and valid SLNC Season Pass participants must be current 2023/2024 Biathlon Canada / Biathlon BC members for liability reasons.

Eric Schryer – Biathlon Head Coach
Hailing from Sudbury, Ontario, Eric began his journey in skiing and biathlon by striding and gliding around his property with his parents. After discovering biathlon he patiently waited until he was old enough and then began learning to shoot in his local air rifle biathlon program. This quickly evolved to teaching himself how to shoot .22 rifles with a small group of athletes. After racing domestically, Eric was quickly scooped up by the coaching world. Eric began coaching with the Chelsea Nordiq ski & biathlon club. Along with leading this talented group of biathletes, Eric coached at the 2019 Canada Winter Games, and a multitude of Jr. IBU cups, IBU cups, and World Youth / Junior Championships with Team Canada. Eric is a member of Biathlon Canada’s Domestic Committee and is continuing his education in the field of psychology.
