The Masters Training Group program is for Masters athletes ages 30+ who want to sharpen ski technique, build speed and efficiency, train rigorously, and compete in races or other ski events. It’s geared toward self motivated athletes who enjoy training in a social group.
Training follows a structured plan from Andy Newell of Nordic Team Solutions, and is best suited for participants who maintain strong off season fitness.

This is a 16-week training program that runs from Tuesday, November 17 until Sunday, March 21, with a 2-week break over Christmas holidays (December 20-January 2).

NOTE: A Training Plan needs to be individually purchased from Nordic Team Solutions (NTS), and individuals will be supported in adapting the plans as appropriate (such as the overall amount of training time). Training Plans from NTS include periodization and training zones as well as an overarching yearly plan.

Program Schedule: All groups sessions start at 9:00am – meet in front of the wax hut on skis ready to start.

  • Tuesday – Technique Coaching 9:00 A.M. followed by Social Coffee Hour in the Lodge
  • Wednesday – Intervals 9:00 A.M. + for those who are doubling a 1.5 hours P.M. strength-specific session.
